Erin and I have decided that it would be a good idea to add audio versions of each write up for those that enjoy hearing advice versus reading it.  Everyone learns differently and we recognize this.

The audio files will most likely offer several different examples to support the written word; so you can hear the advice applied in practical situations.  They will be more extensive than what you see written.

Added a new ‘share’ feature.  I was surprised to see how many times some of the articles had been passed around.  Pleasantly surprised.  This makes it easier to share each article in places other than facebook and twitter.  It works on blogger nicely.

Short break in things.  Erin purchased the new Thesis package for the web site.  She’s been working hard getting it all installed and making sure nothing was lost in the transfer.

Thank God for Erin.
She’s the Queen of this site.

July 18th, 2010 – Should I be offended?  I’ve been looking at the ads that Google is generating on our site.  They’re suppose to reflect/be related to the content on the page.

July 12th, 2010 – The book is up to 42 Rules at the moment. This is more or less accidental. Because I actually live these rules, I sometimes forget that they are rules. There isn’t one rule with my name on it that isn’t so much a part of me that it’s literally embedded in, and colors, my whole world. It’s as sound as DNA. This is great for life; not so great for identifying them at times.

That said, let me share with you our creative process:

ring, ring…
Me: Hello?
Erin: We need a web site!
Me: I’m not doing it.
Erin: It’ll be fun!
Me: I’m not doing it.
Erin: Everyone has a web site!
Me: I’m REALLY not doing it.
Erin: Okay, I’ll do it.
…and a plan was born…

July 6th, 2010 – This book exists solely due to Erin.  I’m one of those people that doesn’t do an elective a second before I’m good and ready to; regardless of anyone elses idea of when it should be done.  I don’t know why, call it a personality flaw.  I never feel pressured by anything when it comes to my time management. Due to her persistence and 800 phone calls like the following, I was finally motivated:

ring, ring…
Me: Hello?
Erin: You need to do this book.
Me: I need to clean the living room.
Erin: Listen to me, you really need to do this book.
Me: Okay.
Erin: Don’t give me that, I’m SERIOUS.  You need to do this.
Me: Okay!
Erin: Good.  Is it done yet?  I mean, no pressure.  But… IS IT DONE YET?!  Not for nothing, but you’re taking too long.
Me: It’s only been a decade and a half.  I have time.
Erin: [this is where I image she takes the phone away from her face and stares at it in disbelief and horror - and probably wants to strangle me because it's always eerily quiet for a few seconds]
Me: OKAY!
Erin: IS IT DONE YET?!
Me: Oh my God…

Like I mentioned before, she doesn’t understand the word No. Never gives up and never gives in.  Thank God for her.

June 30th, 2010 – I added so many people to our twitter account that they shut us down! I’m appealing to the twitter high courts to have this decision reversed. What can I say? when I do something I really do it. – Erin
